Divergent Trilogy Book Review

The Divergent trilogy, by Veronica Roth, is a series I just finished. I absolutely loved it! The storyline was fantastic and kept me excited for what was coming next the whole time, and the writing was great too. It was an awesome trilogy. For those of you who don’t know, it is about a girl named Beatrice, Tris for short, who lives in a city separated into factions, which are groups organized by what you think is most important. There is Abnegation, the selfless, Dauntless the brave, Amity the peaceful, Erudite the intelligent, and Candor the honest. When someone becomes 16, they take a test that shows which faction they should be in, but there are people that are called Divergent, people that belong in more than one faction who are said to threaten the faction system and are hunted down and killed. The day after they take the test, they choose their faction, and they are allowed to choose whatever they want. Tris comes from Abnegation, and she is Divergent. She chooses Dauntless as her faction and changes everything.

  1. Maya –

I thoroughly enjoyed the Divergent series too.

The next series on your must-read list should be The False Prince, The Runaway King, and The Shadow Throne by Jennifer Nielsen. Best trilogy I’ve read…every single book stands alone. It has it all…devilish prince, an imperiled kingdom, murder and deceit, humor and sarcasm, a simmering romance, and twists and turns that leave you breathless. If you haven’t read this yet….hurry out to your library and reserve it. A movie is already in the works! 🙂

Thank you for your suggestion! I’ve been looking for books to read this summer and I will definitely try that trilogy!
